I have passed into another world

Spent some of Sunday evening on Second Life, the online virtual world where you can create, buy and sell. I don't know what to make of it, other than I guess this is what some people's idea of an afterlife must be. Disorientating and lonely, so far without friends...
Wasted 5 minutes chatting up some chick with a black and white tail and a fox's head, before boredom set in.
This is my avatar, Chimp Fieschi, getting lost while looking for giraffes. When I work out how to turn around and face the camera, you'll get an idea of how ugly I've made myself. The odd thing is that everyone else has made themselves look gorgeous and exotic. Funny that.
First things I need are some fruit and a teddy bear.

The social media and PR peeps are going nuts over it, but to me, it’s just another space that advertisers will brandjack soon enough with ads.

I think we should start something here based on your experience there.

We should start a secondlife ugly society. And all make hideous characters who roam the environment. Would be so interesting compared to the tons of people on their trying to pretend to be attractive to get laid...

A psychologist would have fun studying the differences between avatars and their owners, to be sure.
I hope that Second Life gives me sufficient scope for mischief without getting banned. It depends on my willingness to waste hours on a fantasy world.
