Yes, advertisements really play a very vital role in popularizing the product if and only if the ad is that much eye-catching & attractive which finally gives some message to the society. I feel you didn't like the ad of Independence cigars that is why you would like to draw others attention by sharing your outrage. But I think this doesn’t apply for the famous Cuban Cigars which are already tasted and approved by various noted personalities of the world. And it is one of the well known brands which needs no more advertisement because it is already popular.
